Privacy Policy
Life in UK Mastery is a study companion for the Life in the UK Test, made by Deep C Vision. This policy covers the website and the iOS and Android apps.
The short version
- There are no accounts. We never ask for your name, email address or phone number.
- Your answers, scores, bookmarks and settings stay on your device.
- We don’t use analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind.
- If you buy lifetime access in the app, Apple or Google handle the payment, and RevenueCat records that you own it.
Your study progress
Everything you do while studying (answers, confidence ratings, test results, flashcard schedule, bookmarks, the optional first name and test date you enter, and your display settings) is stored only on your device: in your browser’s storage on the website, or in the app’s own storage on your phone. It is never sent to us. Deleting the app, clearing your browser data, or using Reset progress in Profile removes it. You can export a copy as a backup file from Profile; that file stays wherever you choose to save it.
Purchases in the app
The app offers a one-time lifetime purchase. Payment is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their own privacy policies; we never see your payment details. To know whether you own the lifetime unlock, the app uses RevenueCat, Inc. RevenueCat receives a random identifier created on your device, the purchase receipt from Apple or Google, and basic technical information such as the app version, device platform, country and IP address. It does not receive your name or study data. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Links to other sites
Explanations link to public sources such as GOV.UK and the official handbook publisher. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
Children
The app is intended for adults preparing for the Life in the UK Test and is not directed at children.
Your rights
Because we don’t hold your study data, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete; it is under your control on your device. For purchase records held by RevenueCat, contact us and we will ask RevenueCat to delete the record linked to your device’s identifier. If you are in the UK, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Deleting your data
Life in UK Mastery has no accounts, so there is nothing to sign in to or close.
- Study progress: open Profile and choose Reset progress, or delete the app (on the website, clear this site’s data). This removes it straight away and it cannot be recovered.
- Purchase record: email contact@deepcvision.co.uk with the subject “Delete my data”. We will ask RevenueCat to delete the record linked to your device’s identifier within 30 days. Apple and Google keep their own record of the payment under their privacy policies.
